Anne Warr is an architect with an interest in unravelling the mysteries of cities and countries through their architecture. Over the past twenty years, Anne has spent time living and working in both Indonesia and China. During Anne’s recent sojourn in China she wrote a book called Shanghai Architecture, taught western architecture at Tongli University and started a walking tour business: www.walkshanghai.com
Since 2010, Anne has taken four tours to China exploring its history and architecture, and is now moving further afield to explore the mysteries and architecture of Sri Lanka. Anne’s recently completed PhD, Women in the modern city: 1930s Shanghai, explores the complexities of space, time and gender through the lens of expatriate women who travelled to Shanghai in the 1930’s.
We look forward to you joining Anne on a fascinating tour to Sri Lanka and sampling its delicious landscapes full of history and cultivated delights.
